Hi, After the last update Firefox asks me what I want to do with the pdf files and to choose between Open in browser, Open with and Save file but even if I choose Open in Firefox it always downloads the file in the download folder of the PC and then opens it, This is really annoying because then I have to delete them manually. What can I do? Thank you

You have to set this in Settings as the default for PDF files. See Portable Document Format (PDF):

  • Settings -> General -> Applications

If you choose "Open in Firefox" in the 'Open with' dialog then the file is always downloaded. Note that you can also use Delete in the right-click context menu in the Downloads Manager (Library) to cleanup.

But before the latest update Firefox opened Pdf files in the browser without downloading them, simply using cache or memory to store the pdf file data. Now download each file every time I open it and it takes up disk space and even if I enter the URL of the pdf it doesn't open and forces me to download it and then open it in a new tab

When I Select - VIEW - of my bank statement PDF-Xchange (default app) Opens it and it Downloads to my Download Folder, too. Not every View of a PDF in other sites causes a Download but I haven't learned why. May have to live with this per new Moz designs.
