So I got a notification that there was an update for thunderbird. Not sure which version was on before I upgraded, but the new version now is 102.5.0 (32 - bit).

Anyway, ever since I upgraded it, it constantly freezes then displays the (Not Responding) error message on the top navigation bar and then it suddenly unfreezes and all goes back to normal.

I wouldn't mind the freezing if it didn't interrupt my work, but several times it's happened on me as I was typing an email to a client. I notice that I'm typing and then suddenly, it freezes and won't do anything until it unfreezes.

Please find out what broke it and fix it.

In the meantime, I need to find a previous version and downgrade until you fix whatever is wrong with this version.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

Sincerely,

Jaime Ojeda

Please start *Windows'* in safe mode with networking enabled win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in Troubleshoot mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird

Does problem go away?
