I am running the latest version 116.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 11, but this same issue occurs on my Windows 10 machine.

I have been using Firefox for a few years now.

When I watch a video that has a popout screen and then close the video, it crashes Firefox. This has occurred since I began using Firefox.

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Yes, it still happens in troubleshoot mode.

I described it as happening with a "popout" video, but it's really any video I open from an email link or other places. And Firefox crashes when I close the tab or video.

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.

Before I do all that, is this something that is abnormal and not what any other Firefox users experience?

As stated, I've been using Firefox for a number of years now and on two different laptops, and it happens the same on both. Seems strange that the same issue jumps from Windows 10 to a Windows 11 machine.

And it would seem that a new laptop would be "refreshing my profile."

A crash when closing a video is abnormal. Being logged into a Sync account can spread problems across multiple computers.

Take note of the time a crash occurs, then visit about:crashes in the address bar and see if there is a corresponding crash report. Submit the report and share the crash ID here to see what it could be.
