The sidebar doesn't remember the width and the last selection e.g. History

With my previous FF installation, it would remember both the width and the last selection in the sidebar after closing and re-opening FF.

I just formatted and reinstalled windows and now FF simply would not remember the last sidebar condition.

I'm using Windows 10 22H2 and FF 130 64-bit.

Are you using "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the browsing history?

In Firefox 127+ is the sidebar state stored in sessionstore.jsonlz4 as part of session data and is no longer stored in xulstore.json. If you clear the browsing history when you close Firefox, then the sidebar state is lost.

No, I've never used that option.

I can't find a sessionstore.jsonlz4.

If I keep the sidebar open when closing FF, it would restore it at the same width the next time in the same open position, but when it's closed it doesn't remember it.

It used to work before I reinstalled windows.

EDIT:

I made a completely new test profile (added nothing to it) and it has the same sidebar behavior OOTB.

It seems to be fixed in version 131.0.3.

Heh, it's not really fixed at all. Only the first window remembers the width. Open a second window and the width is at the default narrow value.
