My Linux distro is Debian 12.7.0, 64bit, US English.

Can I use firefox-115.16.0esr.tar.bz2 instead of firefox-128.3.0esr.tar.bz2?

There's this statement in Release notes. It says:

Version 115.16.0, first offered to ESR channel users on October 1, 2024" Firefox ESR 115 is now supported only on Windows 7-8.1 and macOS 10.12-10.14. Users on other operating systems should use Firefox ESR 128 instead.

But I am not using Microsoft Windows or macOS as my operating system.

Thanks for your help.

Yes you can use firefox-115.16.0esr.tar.bz2 from Mozilla on Linux.

https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.16.0esr/linux-x86_64/en-US/ https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.16.0esr/linux-x86_64/

Not sure about Linux however if you install Firefox 115.15.0esr or Fx 115.16.0esr on Windows 10/11 or on macOS 10.15+ then you may get update prompts to Fx 128.3.0esr.
