I am facing an issue while trying to import my emails into Thunderbird using the ImportExportTools NG add-on. Here is a summary of the steps I’ve followed and the problem I am encountering:

I successfully downloaded and installed the ImportExportTools NG add-on in Thunderbird. I made sure that my Google Takeout archive was extracted properly, and the files in the Mail folder are in .mbox format. When I go to Tools , I can't see ImportExportTools NG . I can only see tools > import > no option for import mail.

Also ImportExportTools NG > Import profile, the system is unable to detect or recognize the MBOX files

see attached for screen shot

I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue so I can import my emails into Thunderbird without further problems. Please let me know if there are any specific troubleshooting steps I should follow or if there are additional configurations required for the add-on to work properly.

Thank you for your support. I look forward to your guidance.

since you're importing files, not profiles, depending on where you want to store the messages, try this: - highlight Local Folders - rightclick and select the importexporttools option to import mbox - locate a desired mbox file and click ok. - repeat the above for each mbox to import
