I had local bookmarks in FF, but then signed into my FF account, now my local bookmarks have been replaced
Hi, I have a laptop i use for work and a PC at home, both use Firefox.
At home I am signed into a FF account, but on my work laptop i've never signed into FF before. I had lots of work-related bookmarks.
I recenlty signed into FF on my work laptop, in order to make sharing tabs to my home PC easier. Now all the local bookmarks I had in FF from before I signed in have been replaced with my bookmarks from my home PC.
How do I recover the bookmarks from before I signed in? Going forward, is there a way to organise different bookmarks on 2 different devices while signed into the same FF account?
Chosen solution
Ok, I managed to restore my old bookmarks on my laptop by using Import/Backup and selecting the most recent backup. I'm still signed in to FF and as soon as I recovered, FF started "syncing" so I guess the next time I turn my home PC on it's going to download and show all of my work-laptop bookmarks. But I should be able to just restore my home bookmarks like I just did on my laptop. I've now turned off bookmark syncing so hopefully should be good now.
