Se in passato hai creato una password principale, allora devi inserire quella -> https://support.mozilla.org/it/kb/password-principale-thunderbird

Se non hai mai usato la password principale, allora devi inserire la password di accesso a Windows (per Windows 10/11). Te ne accorgi perché la richiesta avviene con lo stile del sistema operativo.
