Won't remember My Yahoo password - Legally Blind
This 75 year lady has had a "My Yahoo Page" for about 10 years and has used Firefox for about the same. On her old XP she could fire up and automatically go to her My Yahoo page, which she created herself, with a automatic sign in.
She acquired a new Vista and now she can't get past the sign in. When I go to Tools, Options, Security, Saved Passwords I sometimes see the correct site after choosing to have fire fox remember it, but it doesn't remember it or often doesn't ask me to remember. On the Vista it sometimes shows Yahoo after a request to remember" My Yahoo" . Also the amount of information she has to type to sign in varies from one keystroke to all the codes. Also she is often stopped 2 pages short of her "My Yahoo.
Both computers have latest versions of Firefox. Now the XP is acting as in the above. I may have goofed it up.
This is no problem for me but she has to remember where things are on each page. With her magnifying glass she can see no more than one or two words at a time.

- Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
- You need an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep that cookie, especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
- Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.
To see all the History and Cookie settings, select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
- Password manager - Remember, delete, change and import saved passwords in Firefox
