I have uninstalled an application but cant change it as my homepage even by uninstalling it. Even when i try to change my homepage it still comes up. What can i do?

I downloaded "bearshare" music application and didn't like it so uninstalled it but it still comes up as my home page. When i change the home page to what i want the next time i open up firefox it still comes up. What else can i do as there is another bear share mediabar application inmy program files which it doesn't let me delete.
