When I open firefox, none of my pages (hotmail, facebook, the weather network) look normal. Instead of the normal formatting, they're all in list form. How can I change this?

I tried changing the Page Style, but it says it's already in Basic Page Style. Is it a problem with encoding? It changes the format of every website I visit.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I followed the instructions above and resolved this problem by disabling AdBlock Plus 1.3.6. I'm running Firefox 4.0. Facebook and CNET News.com are now fixed.
