I recommend installing the [http://adblockplus.org Adblock Plus] extension. This will block advertisements from showing up on a site. If these ads still pop up, I recommend checking your extensions list (Tools > Add-ons) for anything that looks suspicous. If you do, we would appreciate you telling us.
