I just downloaded Firefox 4. Before this I was running the Firefox 4 beta. Here's the problem: no matter what I do, I can't seem to get any of the new features such as the consolidated menu tap, or the apps, or the panorama view. I've tried deleting all my add-ons. I've tried completely deleting the firefox data from my program files so that it was totally gone and then reinstalling. But I still have the same old Firefox, with menu items like File, Edit, Tools, History, etc... and no access to any of the new features. How can I get them?

The new interface is only default on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get it on Windows XP you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.

If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

Terrific! Now what about the app tabs and panorama view...?

You can make a tab into an app tab by right-clicking on the tab and select "Pin as App Tab".

To start panorama (also known as tab groups), by default there is a small drop-down arrow on the right hand edge of the tab bar, click on it and select "Tab Groups". You can also access it by using the keyboard shortcut Control+Shift+E
