I run an app on a website that does not support Firefox 6 at this time. Version 6 does not appear to keep the cookies I want such as preferences on web sites.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I'm running the same thing you are, and version 6 was driving me nuts. I'd click on the shortcut -nothing. zip.

if you don't have anything positive to contribute which helps the "owner" of a question thread, please refrain from posting anything at all. If you need help with a problem of your own, please start your own question thread and ask for help. Otherwise you are interfering with the support process for the "owner" of this thread and that won't be tolerated here.

I need many of the plugins that worked with firefox 6, and now they are disabled. Things like the simple "view source" which reloads pages to get the source, which should already be in memory. On dynamic pages, it re processes data, like resubmitting credit card charges and the like. The people that don't think thru these very simple issues should not be allowed to provide plugins.

View Page Source is available all over Firefox 6.0. In the Menus, it was moved from View to Web Developer in all three places the Web Developer menu item appears. It is also available in the main Contextual menu (right-click on the page you want to see the source for) and also with { Ctrl + U }.

If you have any other issues that we can try to helpful with, please let us know.

It's a shame that 4 users actually said that they found MizLiz's sad sod posting "helpful". I wonder about their intelligence level, they probably shouldn't even be using a computer to begin with.

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/

Find the version you want, download, close Firefox & reinstall.

If you need to go back to an old version, please use this page: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Going back to Firefox 4 or later is *NOT* recommended. Those versions have very dangerous security issues and make your computer prone to attacks by malware, even if you are using an anti-virus application

Kadir Topal , are you sure it is dangerous going back to Firefox 5 ? I was planning to do it. Thank you.

The instructions for downgrading are extremely unhelpful. I just want to go back to the version immediately before 6 -- but the link is a root file with a zillion versions, and then when you open the version folder there are another 10 options. What is the correct file to download to downgrade from 6.0 to last version before, if using Windows 7. I need my Roboform add-in -- it's like being handcuffed to have no access to my passwords -- and FF's pw program only seems to remember one of every 10 passwords, which means I'm running Explorer open in background so I can access my Roboform data to login to sites I use all day. Please specify the exact file name type or format so I can downgrade.
