How do I add a column with my favorites to my screen?
I've just started using Firefox today and cannot figure out how to add a column on the left side of my window in Firefox (like I had in Internet Explorer) showing all my favorite website links. In case it matters, I use Window XP as my operating system).
Chosen solution
To show your Firefox Bookmarks Sidebar ("favorites" is in IE, not Firefox), use CTRL+B to open or close the Sidebar. If the Bookmarks Sidebar is open when you exit Firefox (Firefox button > Exit OR File > Exit), it should be open when you restart Firefox.
- You can also use the following to open or close the Bookmarks Sidebar
- tap the ALT or F10 key to temporarily display the Menu Bar, click View > Sidebar > Bookmarks to check/un-check it (checked=displayed; un-checked=not displayed
- hold down the ALT key while pressing the keyboard letters VEB

Thanks for this help!
BTW, I am not able to see Firefox Button as shown in the example of pages. Anything you can suggest about this?
The Firefox button is shown by default only in Windows Vista and Windows 7. You can change that for XP and you can always make the Menu Bar display when the Firefox button is on by tapping the ALT key.
