FF 9.0.1 slow on Youtube videos, and won't play any other videos on my MacBook Pro

Eve since I upgraded to 9.0.1, youtube became very slow and any videos from other sites (like MSN videos) just o not play, the video does not even appear on the screen. I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8
