I have an empty space where a toolbar used to be. How can I get rid of it?

I do not favor toolbars and try to eliminate them as much as possible. I got rid of one recently and the toolbar disappeared but the space where the toolbar was remains. It is a wasted space and I would like to get rid of the space. Any suggestions?

Thanks. Sincerely, Delora

Do you see that empty toolbar in Firefox > Options (View > Toolbars)?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
