Not sure if it is submit or what but most times I can't fill a form and then have the button work to send it. My pin it button will not work when I try to pin something on pinterest and even in the firefox tools/options box I can't open up menu options like manage add ons, They do not respond and act as if I am not clicking them. I do not have this on the the other computer. I removed the program and downloaded it again and it is the same. I also have a "skipity" toolbar which I did not have before and it does not show up in the toolbar options to remove it. I am so frustrated right now!

Hi Peggiel,

I'd try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide and the Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems article as well.

Hopefully this helps!

If you have many extensions then first enable half of the extensions to test which half has the problem.

Continue to divide the bad half that still has the issue until you find which one is causing it.

This does not seem to work either. I tried disabling but it appears to be firefox itself. I just totally uninstalled and reinstalled again and my toolbars are right, which is a plus, but clicking on a link can get me to the page but if I fill out a form, like a feedburner to get a newsletter or click on a link to pin to pinterest it will not work. some menu items from firefox work and some do not. I can click the tools but if I click manage add ons I get nothing. Some web page links work, but form links usually do not but some do. Weirdest thing and most frustrating.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry if the Extensions tab on the about:addons page (Tools > Add-ons) is empty.

Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.

I appreciate your help but none of this worked either. I do not think it is an add on or extension but something with the last update of firefox. Maybe I am wrong, but so far nothing suggested is working. The firefox menu's are hit and miss, I can't open the manage add on box to even do anything. Other links work, some do not. I do not want.

I am really upset with this as I love my firefox, hate IE and Chrome is so so. I may end up going to something else if this can't be fixed.

Inactive submit buttons are common when the sites are programmed IE-Centric and do not work in Firefox. Try installing the IE-Tab-2 extension, that works for me.

Get it here:

I have it on here. Even links in the firefox menu have some work and some not. Manage add ons does not work, the help to get to firefox does not work. It is some do and some do not.

It is not just buttons in web sites. While it is consistently with feedback buttons or submit for a feedburner etc for the most part, post reply here does work. Weird.

At this point, create a new profile to see if that works. Are you using the default theme or custom theme.
