I cannot download PDF's since updating to Firefox 15.0.1, or else downloads are now being hidden somewhere so safe I cannot find them. Suggestions?
Since updating, I get no download when I click on a download link. I have tried changing the settings in Preferences, checking and unchecking the various options, but nothing helps. I also tried to use Safari to download PDF's, using the links from Firefox, and it too doesn't download, or hides the downloads somewhere where I can't find them. I have a Mac. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try disabling the Adobe Acrobat plugin. Firefox then should present the Open/Save dialog allowing you to open the PDF externally.
Tools > Add-ons > Plugins category
You also could try adjusting your preference for which program handles PDFs.
Firefox > Preferences > Applications
In the search box, type or paste pdf and pause while the list is filtered. Use the drop-down on the right side to set your preference.
If Firefox downloads automatically without asking you to set a location, you can view the default location or change that preference here:
Firefox > Preferences > General
Any luck?
Thank you! I disabled the Acrobat plugin (something weird's been going on with Acrobat anyway; I can't download updates) and was able to download an article I couldn't get before.
I also tried your second suggestion (adjust which program handles PDF's) and nothing appeared when I searched for "PDF." But that's OK. I have downloads again, apparently.
Thanks again! This is a great help.
