Menu and Bookmark toolbars disappear

I had to reset Firefox 17. Now, everytime it starts, both the menu toolbar and bookmark toolbar have disappeared. I have to go to View - Toolbars and again tic both. What can be done to get Firefox to hold the settings?

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file and try to delete this file.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
