doesnt remember my passwords
in my old firefox..when i went to emails and clicked..i had a list of emails i had used..i could just double click and the email would be there instead of writing it each time..and it had passwords too for some..since i uploaded new firefox..doesnt work..and yes..i have 'remeber history' checked..and yes I have 'remember passwords for sites' checked..tried uploading older versions of firefox..(at 11 now and keep going back)..but still same problem..when i go to my yahoo mail...the 'key thing' that says 'remember password' doesn't show up..it seems like this is only with yahoo??...the member password did work with other sites..why not with yahoo????

Hey,
the issue is likely an autocomplete=off that is set on the form field.
Please try the following:
- Go to this site and drag the bookmarklet called remember password to your bookmarks toolbar.
- Navigate to the site where you want it to remember passwords.
- Click the bookmarklet so that it removes autocomplete=off from the field.
More information on bookmarklets can be found here: Use bookmarklets to quickly perform common web page tasks

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode (Never Remember History).
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
read again.... under privacy it says
1 - it says remember history 2 - location bar says - history and bookmarks
under security it says 3 - remember password for sites
even though all the above are selected when using YAHOO MAIL...nothing is remembered...when it always was until yesterday when i uploaded the new firefox..tried uploading every old firefox but it no longer works in yahoo mail for some reason...it does work in other sites..only not yahoo mail...
Do you currently see any entries for Yahoo in the Password Manager?
- Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
websites can specify if browsers should be able to save username/passwords (through the autocomplete="off" attribute in the login form in the html source code) and many banks choose to do this presumably to increase security.
you can either install an addon or use a bookmarklet to circumvent this behaviour.
Usernames and passwords are not saved
please also stay with the current version of firefox, old versions will come with numerous known security vulnerabilities & put the integrity of your system at risk!
