Can I import my Firefox bookmarks from an automatic backup to a new MacBook Pro computer??

I backed up my MacBook Pro 11 OS X Lion system with Time Machine and then got a new MacBook Pro 13 OS X Mountain Lion system. I can't use Time Machine to restore my system. I was able to drag and drop my files, but I neglected to create an HTML backup of my Firefox bookmarks. Are the automatic .json backups that Firefox made accessible to me on my Time Machine external drive? Can I find one of those backups and restore it to my new laptop? I haven't made any new bookmarks, so overwriting wouldn't be a problem.

Did you already find the Firefox profile folder in that Time Machine backup?

  • /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile>/

In Mac OS X v10.7 and later, the $HOME/Library folder is a hidden folder.
