how do I add tool bar from IE to Firefox?

more options

I am changing my bro-in-law's web browser from the most recent version of IE to Firefox. He has tool bars that show his computer manual, trouble-shooting guide, etc. How do I add these to or set up a new tool bar so that these show up in Firefox? He has a HP laptop running Vista. I downloaded his bookmarks from IE but don't know how to add/set up the tool bars that are in his IE browser. Thank you for your assistance!

There's no direct conversion of toolbars between IE and Firefox. That's because the functions of buttons on toolbars usually are created by add-ons, and IE and Firefox run different kinds of add-ons.

But... maybe it's not a real toolbar. Could they be Favorites on the IE Links bar? In that case, importing IE Favorites to Firefox Bookmarks, and showing Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar, might do the trick.

I skipped a step. The import might not know that Favorites on the Links bar (Links folder) should be migrated to the Bookmarks Toolbar. You can use the Library dialog (Ctrl+Shift+b) to drag bookmarks between the main Bookmarks menu and the Bookmarks Toolbar.
