I'm a long time Firefox fan. Been using it forever. When ever there is an update/grade to either Firefox or Flash player, it just will not play any video. This happens every time. I've been troubleshooting this now for several days with no good being done. Now, Firefox crashes every time I try to use the support site so here I am using Google Chrome to type this. It would be very nice of you to figure out a permanent fix for Flash, even if you need to write Firefox own, onboard player. At least, don't release anything that does not run Flash and have a tested plug in that is fool proof. Now Firefox won't stay up long enough to contact you for help.

If you tell me to try something, rest assured I've tried everything I can think of. Not even Adobe has a good download for their latest update. Their site keeps sending me back to where i just came from.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Hi andythebeagle, among your travails, have you disabled the Flash Player plugin's protected mode feature? It's worth a try.

See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
