Firefox causing Windows to repeatedly crash while accessing AOL?

more options

I have discovered an issue with Firefox and my AOL account and wonder if anyone has had a similar situation or and ideas on what may have happened. For many years now, I have used Firefox to access both my AOL and Verizon accounts. Since about Nov 2013, I started getting Windows Blue Screen crashes almost every day, sometimes twice. The Systems reporting error was reporting 1 GB or more of dumped files every day. I finally went back to accessing AOL thru IE and have never had a Blue Screen again. Using Verizon does not cause a Windows crash - only AOL. Any thoughts or ideas? Both Firefox and AOL have been kept up to date.
