Hi,

For our business, we work with a lot of files on firefox.

On one computer, when we download a file (like Open Office file), it doesn't replace old same file, that we have downloaded before. The system add (1), (2), ... at the end of file name. So when we must upload this file, we have several files for the same thing but with several versions. In Options, I checked that Firefox always ask the download location. And in Application, that it ask for all Open Office file. For others computers, there is no problem.

Thanks.

Chosen solution

I think, by resetting download action, may solve your problem.

To reset how all file types are handled by Firefox back to default:

Open your profile folder:

First, At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button, go over to the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open. Then, Under the Application Basics section, click on Show Folder. A window with your profile files will open.

Then, At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Exit Then, Rename the mimeTypes.rdf file to mimeTypes.rdf.old . After All, Restart Firefox.
