Why do emails disappear from the inbox and how to retrieve them?

The emails I receive in the inbox disappear without me deleting them or archiving them. I would like to know how to retrieve my emails. This happens if I receive a number of emails or after a certain time but as I said I do not delete them. This does not occur with the sent box only the inbox. I would like to learn to archive my emails in folders. Is it possible to archive them into DIFFERENT folders? Thank you for your help. Geraldine

Do the messages disappear after you read them?

Moving messages out of Inbox is a good idea. Take a look at this article.
