In entering data into forms in browsers (either Firefox (29.0.1) or IE (11.0.9600.17107) two letters are being substituted for. “a” enters as “c” and “s” enters as “I” This is NOT a problem with any of the applications (e.g. Word or Excel) so I don’t think it is a keyboard problem. As far as I can tell all other letter and symbols enter correctly. I have noticed that entry into form fields stops or slows down before it continues. So entry is no longer smooth. I am hoping this is not some form of malware. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have had to enter this whole description in Word and paste into the submittal form because of the substitution problem. This is a new issue noticed sometime in the last week or two.

You said this is on your browsers, but no where else?

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer Windows > Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. (Mac: Open the "Applications" folder) Go thru the list and use a web search to check any that you don't know what they are.

I wonder whether it's a new issue with the ZoneAlarm anti-keylogger?

Did you try to reboot the computer?

Did you try another keyboard in case there is a software or hardware problem with it?
