After a recent update (24.6.0) remote images in all emails stopped displaying... I've checked

permissions.default.image (1) mailnews.message_display.disable_remote_image (true)

but images still won't display

Chosen solution

Finally! It was set on Use System Proxy Settings... changed to No Proxy and the images are back! Thanx for your suggestion - I wouldn't have thought of that one  :o)

Have you checked View>>Message Body>>Original HTML?

Yes, I checked that also... still no luck

I also saved an email as an html document, and I can see the images when I open the html, so I know they are actually in the email.

Is it possible you have an anti-virus program that is blocking the images?

It never has blocked them: MalwareBytes SuperAntiSpyware Microsoft Security Essentials

This seems to be a new problem so something is not working properly.

The only way to know for sure is to turn them off and see what happens.

I assume you have clicked the "show remote images" on the message header.

Other than that, I am out of ideas, unless you want to try to allow all images from everyone.

I never get the "show remote images" option... that seems to be the real problem

Something else to try is to make sure you are not using a proxy.

Tools>>Options>>Advanced>>Network & Disk Space>>Settings and check no proxy.
