import .pst file into Thunderbird containing exported Outlook addresses
I have a .pst file on my PC exported from Outlook containing all my addresses. How to import into Thunderbird??
I tried earlier to import Outlook Addressen into Thunderbird Addressbook but that did not work prompting:
Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fullfil the messaging request. Outlook was at that point in time my defauls mail client.
I hope I made myself understood
Chosen solution
The usual method: set Outlook as default email client
then in thundrbird: Tools > Import select: Address books and click on Next select: Outlook and click on Next
Otherwise:
In Outlook
Export the address book as a .csv file
Then in Thunderbird Tools > Import select: Address books and click on Next select: Text file (Ldif, .tab , .csv, .txt) and click on Next locate saved .csv file and click on Open you may need to map the fields.

PST file can be imported into Thunderbird after file format conversion. Actually, Thunderbird supports MBOX file format which is storage for all items. When PST file is converted into MBOX then it can be imported into Thunderbird. For complete data transfer, there is no manual method available.
User can try automated PST to MBOX converter software. To know its working style, read at:
