My ISP (Shaw Communications-imap.shaw.ca) has a certificate that is invalid. Every time Thunderbird tries to get mail it generates an exception. Needless to say after a few hours it will have generated dozens of these which is irritating. I have checked the box "Permanently store this exception" but it no longer has the desired effect. This behavior started about a week ago. Before that it permanently stored the exception as desired. What has changed and how can I tell TB to ignore the IMAP server's certificate permanently.

After an hour or so, thunderbird erases these permanent certificates. Once it erase them on the same session, it will never be able to accept the certificates. I have to reboot the PC to reset this problem every time it happens. This is very annoying problem. What to do?
