Upon loading certain webpages firefox hangs for a while with "(Not responding)" at the top next to the page, also bringing Windows 7's Aero affect back to the top of the window instead of being hidden. This lasts maybe ten seconds give or take most of the time. Currently the only websites which I can recall that do this are newegg.com, and youtube.com. I have tried turning off hardware acceleration, this does not fix the problem. A similar problem that if I recall correctly still exists for some(not me) listed drivers as a possible issue, so I am currently running Nvidia 344.48 WHQL drivers, only updated after having this problem, and my GPU is a Nvidia GTX 770.

Chosen solution

Figured it out, it seems to be caused by the Greenhouse add-on. Disabled it and have no problems.

Sorry, I tested to make sure, and it seems I was wrong about youtube. Currently it doesn't seem to hang on youtube, whether it be the homepage or watching a video. I would also like to note that everything goes back to normal once coming back from Not Responding, the windows 7 aero header disappears/is covered up like normal.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the <Shift(Mac Options)> key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

It seems to not be a problem in safemode. Does this mean it's likely an addon("extension") causing the problem?
