Change tab and bookmark behaviour?
( Since Opera given up on their great browser and focus on a poor chrome clone, Mozilla have become my choice. There are a few annoyances though.)
1. "Popper" tab behavior. I want tabs to open furthest right in tab list so I don't have to search for them in the middle of the bar. Is there a plug in for this since there seem to be no setting?
2. I have folders in the bookmark bar. I want to be able to add a bookmark directly to these folders. Now I have to create the bookmark, then go find it, in order to move it where I want. Is there a setting or a plugin to improve Mozilla bookmarks?
Chosen solution
1. Type this in the Location Bar and hit Enter. about:config and toggle this preference to False.
browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent
2. Click and drag the icon in the tab [left corner] down to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder where you want to place the new bookmark - the folder will open, then place it where you want it.

Re your question 2. Double click the bookmarks star, then click the arrow to the right of 'Unsorted bookmarks' where you can select your destination folder.

You can click the highlighted star on the Navigation Toolbar a second time to edit the bookmark and move the bookmark to a folder of your choice.
I think Ed's drag-and-drop method might be fastest for adding bookmarks to a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar
If you need to use the dialog, here are two other ways to call it up:
- Ctrl+d
- right-click the page > click the star icon at the top right of the context menu
You can also do a drag'n'drop into the Bookmarks Sidebar, but you would need to open the Bookmarks Toolbar folder and the folder "on the Toolbar" beforehand. That's how I save all new bookmarks - into the sidebar folders. It allows duplicate bookmarks to be saved and saves the favicon immediately.
Problems solved! Thanks for the help.
