I can't find anything that tells how to get my saved passwords and open tabs back after syncing.
I had to have my work computer restaged. I synced my FF before I turned my computer over to tech services. When I got my computer back and downloaded FF, I signed back into sync. But my saved passwords are not showing. I have all of the items listed in the sync menu checked (passwords, open tabs, bookmarks, etc). I finally fumbled around and got my bookmarks back and I am not as concerned with my open tabs as I am with my passwords. Thanks!

HI geekymom, In order to restore the previously synced passwords and tabs you will need a back up of how the profile was before you made changes to your computer.
Instructions on how to restore this folder is found in here: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles
Unfortunately Sync is not ideal for a backup service. It will sync the devices that are currently attached. But if the passwords are found on a mobile device attached: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/andr.../?src=hp-dl-featured but tabs, these are stored in the local profile.
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
