Trying to find oldbar makes the location (URL) bar look like Firefox 2
Firefox updated my version and I hate it and it took away my add-on of the Old URL bar. When I do the drop down arrow it doesn't show me previous pages I've visited. I don't want to have to type in my frequently visited pages consistently throughout the day. How can I stop Firefox from updating my version when I'm happy with the one I have and how can I get the old toolbar back.

You can stop firefox from updating by going to Menu>Preferences>Advanced>Update and the clicking the circle by the check for updates but let me choose whether to install them. See How to make the new firefox look like the old firefox for how to get your old url bar back.
Have a great day!

Hi Annabelle, I don't remember Firefox 2 very clearly at this point, but the triangle in the address bar still should show your frequently/recently visited sites.
Are you sure your history didn't get cleared somehow? You can check what history Firefox still remembers by pressing Ctrl+Shift+h to call up the Library dialog (or "Show All History" from the History menu).
In case it's useful, there's also a standard bookmark called Most Visited that should have those sites. I'm not sure where you would find it, Bookmarks Menu or Bookmarks Toolbar (I tend to move things around...).
Thank you both for your answers. I had to go into the history also and have Firefox remember my history, otherwise it wasn't. I like this URL bar much better. Thanks again.
Glad I could be of service!
