Copy email address from one file to another

I have address book for different groups. Some of the addresses can be common to more than one group. I want to copy, not just move, an Email address from one book to another as the groups change members. I do not want to have to recreate a new contact every time the group changes.

How do I do this.

Standard computer skills.

Hold the control key while drag and drop the contact to the other address book. You will see a plus sign appear to indicate a copy instead of a move.
