Videos on websites like Youtube are buggy: their pixels sometimes "drool". Look a the picture! Years ago I would have looked for "codec conflict" but nowadays I don't even know if it still exists... Any idea?

Are you using the HTML5 media player or the default (Flash based) player on YouTube?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

If a Flash based player is used then you can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash versions.
