Error when sending emails - Receiving is working fine
error message saying "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: relaying mail to ADDRESSEE'S ADDRESS is not allowed.
Where I have put, "ADDRESSEE'S ADDRESS"...this error occurs for EVERY addressee other than my own email address which is linked to my email provider.
Any ideas on what would cause this?
And NO, I haven't changed my SMTP or for that matter, any settings at all in Thunderbird or my email provider's side.

Your SMTP server thinks you are relaying a message. Probably the account/mail address you use as sender doesn't match the domain from your provider. This might also be caused by a change in the settings at your provider.
Please check your account settings anyway, although you haven't changed them. Maybe you can add troubleshooting information (Help -> Troubleshooting information) here too or try in safe-mode...

I found out from my wife that Softbank Japan changed their security and made all users set their SMTP to be SMTP Authenication Required...they inly sent the notification to the parent email addresses and to all of the email addressees within that account, hence the reason I was not notified if the change...
I greatly appreciate your quick reply an d help...
