"I have been working on a project, looking at animating web content, and out of own interest begun writing a personal (JavaScript) framework for handling SVG content. I began adding SVG content on the fly to hard coded SVG elements. However, there is a small, but noticeable 'lag' when hitting the refresh button in Chrome and Safari, which is not present in Firefox (on OS X). The lag has became more noticeable when adding the SVG elements on the fly, probably due to repainting layout, together with surrounding content. It is now no longer acceptable, and I do not know where to go from here.

Here are a couple of links:

The Javascript is loaded at end of html body element from external files.

Any thoughts, or suggestions are welcome."
