Can't open e-mailed links in Firefox 42

I just updated to Firefox 42 and now I cannot open any embedded links in e-mails--neither by clicking on them (as in Firefox 40) or by right clocking and choosing Open in new tab. (New tabs do open properly if I do a Google search and click on a result.) It is embedded links in e-mail that won't work. My e-mail is @live.com (Hotmail).

This is a huge problem. Can someone tell me what's happened?
