How to Identify a Plugin's Program
I've recently been having problem with shockwave and flash players, which makes firefox "hang" every now and then. When I went to my plugin page, I noticed there were three related to shockwave, and one was outdated. I thought there might have been a problem installing it so I throught of uninstalling and reinstalling the program. When I uninstalled shockwave and flash, the old version was still there. I tried to find it on my programs list in control pannel and couldnt find it. Any ideas how to find the program the plugin is refering to? I think this older version might be the one causing the problems and need to get rid of it before reinstalling player. Thanks!

hi, please see if the adobe provided uninstaller can get rid of outdated flash versions on your system: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
otherwise you can type about:plugins into the firefox address bar and this page should tell you the location of the particular plugin files in your filesystem.
