certain webpage items do not appear when using webpage colour override
certain things on webpages don't appear when using webpage colour override [tools > options > content].
many webpages are difficult for me to look at, especially ones with pure white background or white text on a dark background [even worse!]. bright colours cause afterimages to appear in my eyes even after only looking at something for under 1 minute. so i need to use a very low contrast theme.
anyway, i've noticed that some pages don't display properly when i enable the webpage colour override. i've some photos showing what happens, but i can't seem to attach them here with my question. [the spinning upload icon just hangs ?] so i've uploaded them to photobucket:

search boxes appear invisible. certain buttons or images won't appear.
i was wondering what causes this, and if it happens to anyone else. is there a fix for it?

You disable background images if you override the web page colors and thus you might no longer see elements that consist solely of a background image.
You can look at the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.
looks better. thanks for the fast reply!
This is probably a good site to be aware of http://www.accessfirefox.org/Firefox_Accessibility_Extensions.php It is a semi official mozilla community run site. IIRC the site and many of its addons were caught out by Australis. That is probably one site we should reach out to in advance if for instance making anything less distinct smaller, or lower contrast.
