Hi shiloh.sharps, the internal name of the new tab page is about:newtab so you can use that as your home page address. Note: no http is needed, that's the whole address.

These articles have more info on setting the home page address:

If you use the method of typing or pasting about:newtab into the blank on the Options page, please do NOT click "Use Current Pages" as that will add all current tabs in the window to your home page setting, including the Options page. That little glitch should be fixed in an upcoming version of Firefox.

Note that 'about:' is a special protocol that is used to access special pages (built-in and possibly added by extensions).
