why doesn't lightning calendar reminder close when the last event is dismissed?

My Thunderbird portable was just updated to TB v45. Lightning updated to 4.7. When a reminder pops up I can dismiss it but the reminder window itself doesn't close, although the event disappears and the reminder windows says 0 items available. Any way I can get the window to automatically close when I dismiss the last event?

Make sure your calendar isn't read-only. Open the calendar tab, and right-click the calendar in the left pane - Properties.
