Copied profile from Win7 to Win10; no local sub-folders visible in Tbird (about 100+ subfolders under Local Folders)

more options

I copied everything under profile from a Windows 7 64bit laptop to a Windows 10 64 laptop. I included the *ini files from the Win7 profile so that it references the same information. There is a whole collection of folders in the Win7 laptop, but they are not visible in Win 10. Thunderbird in Win10 only shows Inbox, Junk, Trash, & outbox under Local Folders.

Are you certain the missing folders have actually been copied to the Win10 computer?

I copied the entire folder in Users/username/Appdata/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles to the same location in Windows10. The LocalFolders folder does not display the subfolders available in Windows7.

However, my son noticed that the properties of LocalFolders viewed in Thunderbird showed the folder was in Users/username/Thunderbird/Profiles (i.e. not in Apps/Roaming). We copied this folder to the equivalent in Win10, and the Local Folder content is visible.

Summary: copy the Profiles folder from Apps/Roaming, as well as any Thunderbird folders in the user directory.
