Sending messages on Hotmail results in double messages

more options

I've noticed a problem when sending messages through my hotmail account with thunderbird. For some reason it sends 2 copies of the message or at least it shows 2 copies of it in the Sent folder. This doesn't seem to be a problem with other mailservers (gmail, gmx, yahoo etc) just hotmail. I'm using imap on all of them so I don't believe that is the reason.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Some providers, Hotmail included, already place a copy in your Sent folder. Go into Thunderbird account Settings-Copies and Folders and tell Thunderbird to stop saving a copy also.
