Why won't this http://www.mygoldmusic.co.uk/radio/player/ work on my Firefox/Windows 7 laptop when it works fine on my ipad?

I want to listen on-line to the Gold Radio station. Its website gives a click link to the screen shown below. The hand hovers over the play button, but clicking (right or left) doesn't work, nothing happens. It works fine on my ipad, but not on my Windows 7 laptop. Any ideas please?

Hi Tim, I am in the UK that link works ok for me. These suggestions are only guesses.

The embedded mediaplayer it uses is well beyond my comprehension, but their site says it uses FlashPlayer on Desktops, however that and other channels of radioplayer.co.uk also seem to be able to use HTML If I disable my FlashPlayer I am still able to use http://media-the.musicradio.com/Gold

It is probably still worth you trying with flashplayer installed

I am not sure but possibly if you block cookies or ads it may affect the player, although judging from your screenshot you are not blocking ads.

Hi John99 Thanks for the message. My laptop does have Flash player and my ad blocker is switched off. When I first tried your suggestion of getting to Gold via radioplayer it worked, but does not work subsequently. Using the second link you suggested sometimes works (although the screen is black apart from a single "progress" style line which seems only to indicate that the player is operating), but other times just hangs with the "connecting" message. I'll just listen to other stations (it's only Gold - my favourite of course - that I have trouble with) or save up for a DAB tuner. Thanks again. Tim
