So there is this one website I occasionally watch videos (http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/) and recently I noticed when I play videos all the control buttons like pause, play, rewind, volume no longer appear on the video. I tested it on Safari and the controls are there but I can not get Firefox to display them. I've tried disabling all my add ons and extensions, I've updated Firefox and no effect. In fact if i disable the ad blocker and click on the playing ad which pauses it I have to restart the whole video from the beginning since there is no play button there is no way to restart the ad to play it out. I've checked other websites and all the video controls display. Any help would be appreciated, I find this whole thing quite baffling.

What kind of player is it? Flash, HTML5 . . . . . . . Right-click on the player.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Thanks for your reply, I went through many of the troubleshooting ideas on the links provided but unfortunately none of them have resolved this odd little problem of mine. I guess I will just have to use another browser when accessing this website.

Remove History For One Site Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.

Hi FredMcD.

So I tried <Control><Shift> H but nothing is happens. I have Firefox set to delete history everytime I close brower, so maybe that is why nothing is opening.

I just tried <Comand><Shift> H and that opened a pane (I must have forgotten to mention I have a Mac, sorry) but the pane is empty of information, probably because of my settings. Thanks for trying anyway.

Do you have a bookmark? That should also work.

I'm not sure I understand, are you asking if I have bookmarked the website?

Right-click the bookmark and select Forget.

First off I don't have http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/ bookmarked, but when I do right click a bookmark the only option is "Delete", not "Forget"

I've called for more help.
