I 'save' something as a download to desktop, but when I try to open it again, it says 'cannot open'. The symbol on the download is Firefox this using
When I save a download from my email or other site, it saves and can be brought to my desktop. it shows the Firefox symbol on the square, but it won't open. I have Windows Vista. I do not use Windows Explorer or even update it. I have Firefox as my homepage. I have sped up my Firefox, I think; it said Adobe is up to date, but i cannot find it in my computer anywhere. I am trying to open PDFs I think. This was never a problem before. Each time I try to open one of these saved files from 'downloads' it just saves it again to downloads. I have tried to open them in other formats, but they all say "cannot". I can't send one of these to you, because things "not supported" don't show up when I browse the desktop for attachments. Merry2

Hi, firstly, I see you have 'Coupons, Inc. Coupon Printer 5.0.2.8' in your plugins, it's just possible that is interfering, so as a test, set it to Never Activate - Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Plugins.
If that isn't the cause, have a look at -
I'm not seeing Adobe Acrobat/Reader in your plugins (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Plugins, so you could check in you PC's Programs. If you want to download it, you can do so from https://get.adobe.com/reader/?loc=uk&promoid=KLXME (I would deselect any optional offers)!
