Menu bar and mail bar only shows on received message screen but not when I try to reply or forward a message. Therefore I can not send the new message

Chosen solution

In the Write window, press F10 or alt to make a menu appear. In that menu, go to View|Toolbars and tick the relevant checkboxes.
